Google plans to build data centers in Asia to accelerate access to its services. Three countries were already prepared to be the location, with investment of more than U.S. $ 200 million. As quoted from Reuters page, Google will build a data center in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The plan, this data center will be operational in 1-2 years once construction began to be built.
Investment in Hong Kong and Taiwan will each worth U.S. $ 100 million. However, Google does not explain the amount of investment that will be planted in Singapore.
Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal called pages, this data center will be Google's main data center in the Asia-Pacific region. So far, Google has a data center operating in the United States and Europe.
Google currently has 15 offices and thousands of workers across the Asia-Pacific region. Reuters was then called, Google will recruit an additional 20 staff for data centers in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
